A Second-Order Performance Analysis of the ESPRIT Algorithm in Presence of Array Modeling Errors
Aiming at the effects of the array modeling errors
the second-order performance analysis method (i.e.
discarding the third-order and higher-order terms of the modeling errors) for the ESPRIT algorithm is proposed in this paper.Compared to the classical analysis method (i.e.
the first-order analysis method)
the second-order analysis method can yield higher performance prediction precision
especially in the presence of large modeling errors.In addition
the presented analysis method is not only suitable for the case of the array manifold mismatch
but also applies to the case of the sensor noise model mismatch.The numerical experiments verify the superiority of the second-order performance analysis method in the presence of large modeling errors.
