A New Subgridding Technology Based on FDTD Algorithm
A subgridding technique based on spatial filtering-Finite Difference Time Domain (SF-FDTD) method is proposed in this paper
the Courant-Friedrich-Levy (CFL) stability condition of the conventional FDTD algorithm can be improved by filtering operation in spatial frequency domain
thus obtaining a high stability FDTD method.The SF-FDTD algorithm is further applied to the subgridding technique
so that the time step of the subgridding region is the same as that of the coarse grid which greatly improved the computational efficiency.The numerical results show that the algorithm has high accuracy and validity in solving the electromagnetic problem with fine structure.
