This paper presents a Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) detection approach of ship wakes for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images based on the technique of "adjacent pixels summing (APS)".The key of this method is using the APS strategy to perform Radon transform over the subimage approximately.The CFAR detection algorithm
which uses statistical hypothesis testing on probability model in transform space
is then developed.The effectiveness of this algorithm is demonstrated by the test results of simulating wake images and actual SAR images of ship wakes.
