A novel rate-based multicast congestion control scheme—RBMCC is presented
which uses the positive explicit congestion indication and proxy-based feedback control scheme to inform the sender about the status of network
so that the sender can detect incipient congestion early and adjust the send rate to alleviate congestion by changing packet intervals.The mechanism was implemented in the Network Simulator and its performance was compared with other algorithms by simulation.The simulation results show that RBMCC improves the dynamics and responsiveness
