In OFDM systems

clipping is often used to control the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of signal.Clipping will introduce additional clipping noise on both data and pilot symbols

so as to degrade the system performance.A new technique is proposed to cancel the clipping noise on pilot symbols for clipped OFDM systems.The new technique is based on directly filtering the clipping noise on the positions of pilot symbols before they are inserted into the data.Based on the new technique

an iterative method is proposed to further improve the performance of channel estimation.The simulation results are also given.It is shown that the new technique and the iterative method can effectively improve the performance of channel estimation

so as to improve the system performance.
