Power control in CDMA cellular system is discussed in this paper.Consideration on power control error（PCE） and selection of power control source are taken into account.In the previous analyses

distance based selection on power control source was assumed for simplification.This paper considers pilot power based selection under practical environment and makes comparison between these two methods.Numerical results show that the latter method improves the system capacity.
