The Flooding Routing Algorithm （FRA） is recommended by Eurocom.Due to its robustness

FRA has now been widely applied to packet switching networks.However

the inherent drawback of FRA is that the flooding broadcasting characters may inevitably cause excessive network traffic redundancy with degraded network performance.This paper develops a so called Direct Routing Algorithm coupled with a Rerouting Strategy.Theoretical analysis and computer simulations show that the proposed scheme can substantially improve the network performance while maintaining robustness.
