A full-wave integrated time domain analysis of the 1×16 element microstrip array antenna is carried out by finite difference-time domain(FDTD)method.The modified Berenger PML(MPML)absorbing con dition is used in the analysis.The MPML is more efficient in absorbing the evancescent energy and keeping the same performance for propagating modes.This good behavior of MPML is improtant in our analysis.Compared to isolated microstrip antenna
more slow decay evancescent waves are included near nicrostrip antenna array.It is shown that the MPML results are more accurate than the PML ones
