Explicit formulas for the element values of a low-pass impedance transforming network havingButterworth or Chebyshev responses are given. For the second- and the fourth-order networks
element values andtransforming frequency band are directly determined by the impedance ratios. Circulating formulaes for the higherorder networks are obtained by the conjugate poles of the reflection coefficient
thereby reducing the design ofthese networks to simple arithmetic.
