The cross polarization radiation field formulas for a parabolic torus reflector are derived using physical optics in this paper. The cross polarization properties of the torus antenna are deeply investigated with these formulas. Some significant conclusions and numerical results are obtained

which lay a theoretical foundation for this type of antenna realizing the low cross polarization property.
