This paper proposes a fault-tolerant switching network for ATM switching systems. Based on baseline network

the proposed network can provide redundant paths by adding some extra elements between stages. It has the advantages of high performance and simple routine algrotihm. Compared with other fault-tolerant networks which have the same hardware complexty

the network can tolerate more faults and the effect is increased when network size is larger.
