摘要

本文首次提出了泵浦反射型的ＥＤＦＡ结构，理论计算表明，泵浦反射型ＥＤＦＡ较之常规型ＥＤＦＡ有高的泵浦效率，高的３ｄＢ压缩饱和输出功率、低的泵浦阈值。同时由于采用光纤Ｂｒａｇｇ光栅作反射器，使这种泵浦反射型ＥＤＦＡ在工艺上容易实现。

Abstract

A New configuration of an erbium-doped fiber amplifier（EDFA） has been proposed to improve the pumping efficiency and saturated output power. For 1. 48μm pumping

this configuration can double the pumping efficiency with the same fiber length. The maximum value of small signal gain is 3dB larger

and the saturated output power of this configuration is 1. 5dBm higher than those of the normal type.
