This paper proposes a new recognition approach Which can recognize a 3-D object from a single perspective projected line drawing. First we present some new methods of recognizing spacial polygons

then introduce a distributed appearance representation with ordered connection for model polyhedron

and propose a gradually characteristic-expending recognition algorithm.The algorithm has been demonstrated by computer simulations.
