An analytic study of a perfectly conducting spherical resonant cavity loaded by an eccntric dielectric sphere is proposed in this paper.With the introduction of addition theorems for vector spherical harmonics
the method employed here is rigorous for arbitrary modes
relative dimensions of the structure
as well as dielectric properties.TE
TM and hybrid modes are carefully evaluated and their dependence on geometric parameters and material properties is specifically illustrated.Field distributions of some modes are obtained.The reliability of the analysis is justified.
