Performance evaluation is very important for improving the performance of parallel systems.In this paper
firstly
the primary factors that affect the parallel execution efficiency of programs are briefly discussed.Then an analysis method of average parallel degree μave is presented.Furthermore
the performance of PAM/TGR machine on a transputer array is tested and evaluated
and over/lower acceleration phenomena are also exploited and discussed.The results show that good acceleration effects and high utiliza-ton ratio of processors have been obtained
the lower speedup can also be avoided with PAM/TGR machine effectively.The PAM/TGR machine has higher performance compared with related parallel systems abroad.
