This paper discusses the effect of the finite op-amp bandwidth on the stability of active filters. Pour typical circuit configurations of second-order bandpass filters are considered. The condition of stability for each configuration is obtained in terms of the op-amp bandwidth and the filter parameters

the pole-pair quality Q and the pole-pair frequency ωa. Computer aided simulation for these filter configurations shows good agreement with the theoretical results.
