On the basis of calculating the relation of saturated magnetization of amorphous magneto-optic media of rare earth-transition metal elements with temperature
a new method suitable for calculating the relation of the reading quality of magneto-optie disks to the reading laser power has been established. For the practical example of the quadrilayer
the optimum reading laser power is obtained. The optimum reading laser power and the signal to noise ratio influenced by the variation of the content of rare earth elements have also been studied. The results agree with related experiments.
