A sampling theorem for narrow-band signals is developed

the sampling frequency can be lower than the Nyquest frequency of the signal when the spectrum of the signal to be sampled is limited in a narrow interval. With this theorem a very simple and clear method for the design of multirate filters is derived. The characteristics of multirate digital filters is discussed as well

and some conclusions differing from those presented in others paper is obtained.
