The recent progress of RC active filters is reviewed

beginning with the developments in active elements and biquads

focusing on the realization of high order active filters

and followed by a brief discussion of the integration of active filters. It is suggested that

with the merits of low sensitivity

the active simulation of double resistive load LC ladder filters might be a favorable scheme for high order filter realization.
