<正> In the above publication dispersion calculations have been made for monomode step-index weakly guiding optical fibers. However

as explained below the approach followed in it was. approximate and therefore the conclusions drawn therefrom as regards the accuracy of the two sets of given approximate empirical formulas for prediction of zero dispersion wave-length was. not correct.
