Abstract

Along with the development of software engineering

modularization has become an important trend in programming. This paper discusses some issues on the module-design in programming languages. We focus our attention on the following points: Viewpoints for defining modules

classification of modules

representation of interface between modules

constituent parts of module bodies

scope and visibility rules

and module declarations in the system programming language XCY-2.
