并把Ash的结果延伸到具有分布损耗的情况。文中对全分隔双注返波管起振电流的理论值与实验值所进行的比较是令人满意的。本文还讨论了全分隔双注行波管的增益特性以及电子注间的分隔效应。文中最后研究了多注返波管的起振电流和多注行波管的增益特性

This paper treats the double and multiple beam TWA and BWO from a unified coupled-mode point of view. Coupled mode and characteristic equations for completely separated and completely intermingled double beam TWA and BWO are first derived. Ash’s results are extended to cases with distributed loss. Theoretical starting current of such a BWO compares satisfactorily with the experimental values. The gain of a completely separated double beam TWA
as well as the beam separation effects
is discussed. Finally the starting current and gain respectively of a multiple beam TWA and BWO are treated as an extension of the double beam case.
