The High Sensitivity Bits in Turbo Codes and Their Protections

摘要: 本文讨论了Turbo码中低码重码字中的非零比特对干扰的敏感度,指出码字的重量越低,对干扰的敏感度越大.然后,通过对这些高敏感度的比特—关键比特—进行保护,使码的抗干扰特性得以提高.理论分析表明,对关键比特的保护,相当于提高了码的最小重量.计算机仿真显示,无论是不删截的1/3码率,还是删截的1/2码率,误码率都有了明显改进.

Abstract: In this paper,the sensitivities of the non-zero bits in the codewords with low weights in Turbo codes to the interruptions are discussed and the result is that the lower weight the higher sensitivity.Theoretical analysis shows that through the protections on such key-bits that have high sensitivities,the minimal weight of the codes can be improved apparently.The simulations also give out the supported results:The BER has been highly improved for code rate both 1/3 and 1/2.
